What is A Night with Keb' Mo' & Friends?
A benefit concert for Northern Light School, an independent preschool-through-8th-grade school in Oakland, California. Five-time Grammy winner Keb' Mo' performs a single acoustic show with surprise guests at Littlefield Concert Hall on October 24, 2026, honoring Peter Coyote's two decades of partnership with the school.
Who is Keb' Mo'?
Keb' Mo' is a five-time Grammy-winning American blues musician, singer, and guitarist, recognized for carrying the Delta blues tradition into contemporary music.
Who is Peter Coyote?
Peter Coyote is an American actor, author, and narrator, and a longtime friend of Northern Light School. He has supported the school since 2005, serving as master of ceremonies at its major fundraisers and joining students at graduations and Morning Circle.
What is Northern Light School?
Northern Light School is an independent, nonprofit preschool-through-8th-grade school in the Oakland Hills, founded in 1989. Its mission is to provide an empowering education for children from all cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
Who else is performing?
Keb' Mo' will be joined by surprise guests who will be announced from the stage. We won't be sharing names in advance.
Is the concert open to the public?
Seats are offered by invitation request through the host committee rather than public sale. Anyone may submit a request using the form on this page.
How do I get a seat?
Complete the request form on this page. The host committee reviews requests daily, and if a seat is available you will receive a private reservation link and access code by email within 48 hours.
Why can't I buy a ticket directly?
Seating is capped at 414 to preserve an intimate acoustic setting. Rather than open public sale, the host committee releases seats by invitation so the room can be filled thoughtfully.
What happens after I'm approved?
You will receive an email with a private reservation link and access code. Open the link, select your tickets, and complete your reservation within 24 hours.
How long is my reservation link valid?
Twenty-four hours from the time it is sent. Links are non-transferable. If your link expires, you may submit a new request, though seats are not guaranteed.
What if I don't hear back within 48 hours?
Check your spam or promotions folder first. If nothing has arrived, email development@nlsoakland.com and the committee will confirm the status of your request.
Is there a deadline to request an invitation?
We kindly ask that requests be submitted by October 9. Requests received after that date will be considered as space allows.
Can I request seats for guests?
Yes. Indicate the number of seats on the request form. For larger groups, please contact development@nlsoakland.com directly so the committee can coordinate seating.
Will I receive a physical ticket?
No. A digital pass will be emailed to you the week of the event. Please bring it on your phone or print it for entry at the door.
Are tickets refundable?
No. All ticket purchases are final and non-refundable, and are a contribution to Northern Light School.
Is my ticket tax-deductible?
A portion of each ticket is tax-deductible as a charitable contribution to Northern Light School, a 501(c)(3) organization. You will receive a receipt stating the deductible amount after purchase.
Where is Littlefield Concert Hall?
On the Mills College at Northeastern University campus, 5000 MacArthur Boulevard, Oakland, CA 94613.
What time should I arrive?
Doors open at 6:00 pm and the show begins at 7:00 pm.
How long is the concert?
Please plan for an evening of around three hours, including tributes and performances. There will be no intermission or refreshments, so we encourage guests to dine beforehand.
Will the concert be recorded or streamed?
No. This is a single live performance, not filmed and not streamed.
Where do I park?
A lot will be reserved for all ticketed guests, and complimentary shuttle service will be provided.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes. Littlefield Concert Hall is fully accessible, with wheelchair seating, an elevator, and ramps. If you have specific needs, contact development@nlsoakland.com and we will be glad to assist.
Is there a dress code?
No. Come as you are comfortable.
Are children welcome?
Yes. Children are welcome to attend with an accompanying adult.

Where does the money go?
All proceeds benefit Northern Light School.
